La Luna - A Poem About Tonight's Magical Moon
To find your own shadow in the night, oh, what an enticing sight To bask in the clear blue glow of that aging star, And dance in its magical light. I am transformed in its beauty into nothing but contrast, dancing 'cross the grass. Not hazy like my own shadow, whose mass eliminates a space the sweet sun might posess, But instead created for her amusement, this negative of an image...one girl in one dress. Oh luna, sweet mama, be with me here in this moment, my companion and elder witness to an enchanted evening like none before it.
