was born August 1, 2006 at 5:40pm She weighted 6 lbs, 10oz and was 18 inches tall at birth. Although I went into labor that morning, she hadn't dropped and my cervix hadn't ripened, resulting in a necessary Cesarean.
The procedure was short and sweet, but the recovery was nothing short of HELL ON EARTH! Man was it painful.
The morphine and percocet helped a little, but in reality, not enough be considered relief.
But, to be honest, it was all worth it, because that little girl is the most beautiful little thing I have ever seen.
August 1st is actually John's birthday as well, so Zoe and her father will share their birthday! How cool is that?
Zoe has been a true blessing to our lives. Our relationship has never been better, and it appears that is due to John's new opinion about me. Last night he came into the nursery as I was changing Zoe and said 'Baby, I want to you know that you are doing a great job!! I'm so proud of you.'
How sweet!!!
Today, Zoe is 2 weeks old and she has grown to 21 inches and 7lbs, 5oz. I'll be sure to keep you posted on her progress! :-)
