Mommy Dearest...........
Does anyone else have one of those moms? You know, the one who talks shit about her kids, and constantly builds herself up with random, unsolicited comments?
All day yesterday I had to hear about how horrible my sister is because she and her family moved away from my parents and took THEIR grandchildren. And how my sister is neglecting her children and putting them in danger because she is having houseguests. She actually used the word 'horrible' to describe her own daughter. And my sister isn't a bad person.
Then she proceeded to tell me how my sister had called her to talk to her about an argument she had with her husband, and my mother used it as an opportunity to talk about what a horrible WIFE my sister is.
I made the point in several no-so-subtle-ways that maybe her daughter was calling her to ask for her support of advise......but my mom totally missed it.
When she spends time with my husband (who is bipolar and can read into ANYTHING) she often plants some seed of doubt (unknowingly she says) that often leads to an argument. And it's all because she constantly feels the need to be the queen bee, no matter who she is around.
If for a moment she thinks that someone around her is being shone upon more brightly then she, she will take the opportunity to first belittle the person, and then talk about herself. It's disgusting.
She really pisses me the hell off.
Can you believe this is my MOTHER I'm talking about?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
