Back To Good
Alaska is such an amazing place. It is largely undeveloped and undisturbed by man, which gives it this natural energy that is truly intoxicating. If one allowed themselves to become swept up in the ruggedness, they might find themselves regressing to more primitive behavior.
As I walked along Resurrection Bay yesterday, I was absolutely overwhelmed with the untamed beauty that surrounded me. I felt an energy, a synergy with this place and its offerings. I felt inspired to paint what I saw...something I've never really been compelled to do!
Of course I'm sure it would end up looking like the crayon sunsets I used to draw in elementary. The birds sailing through the coastal breezes would end up as 2-dimensional black V's dotting the skyline. :)
I definitely couldn't do justice to the awe-inspiring magnificence that is this place.

John and I are back on track. He had some pretty heavy things weighing on his mind, and he finally shared them with me. And as soon as he did, all of our recent confusion melted away, and we are looking forward, together, again.
