Alaska Summer's End
Well, Kenny left yesterday for Houston, by way of Seattle. He and Mark came by on their way out of town and they both seemed so sad to be going.
Mark gave me a big hug and asked if I would be here when he returns...I said yep! Kenny was bummed to be leaving me here, and won't be seeing me out and about in Houston.
It was a little strange to watch him go. Perhaps it was the knowledge that I am starting a new life, away from everything I've known before. A new life with John.
The summer is on its way out of here. Today is sunny and beautiful, and about 75 degrees, but before long it will be cold wind, rain and snow. I hope John's warm, loving arms stay strong and receptive, cuz I'm gonna need 'em!
